TOGETHER WE CAN IMPACT THE WORLD

Club Structure

The Norman Rotary Club is organized through the Four Avenues of Service:
Club Service - The scope of activities that Rotarians undertake in support of their club, such as serving on committees, proposing individuals for membership and meeting attendance requirements. Committees under the avenue of Club Service include Attendance, Club Bulletin, Club Directory, Club Historian, Community Projects Funding, Fellowship, Fruit Sales, Membership, Personal Affairs, Program, Public Relations, Rotary Information and Sergeant at Arms.

Vocational Service - Focus is on the opportunity Rotarians have to represent their professions as well as their efforts to promote vocational awareness and high ethical standards in business. From offering career guidance in high schools to seeking ways to improve conditions in the workplace, Rotarians and their clubs engage in many different kinds of vocational service. Committees under the avenue of Vocational Service are Career Information, Employer/Employee, Four-Way Test and Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA).

Community Service - This avenue deals with activities Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Many official Rotary programs are intended to meet community needs, whether it be to promote literacy, help the elderly or disabled, combat urban violence or provide opportunities for local youth. Norman Rotary Club committees under this avenue of service consist of Bueno Brunch, Community Awareness, Immunization/PolioPlus, Interact Club, Rotary Park and High School Students of the Month.

International Service - Rotarians engage in this avenue of service to advance international understanding, goodwill and peace. Rotary Clubs in all parts of the world allow for the concerted Rotary support of humanitarian efforts worldwide. Committees in this avenue are Group Study Exchange, International Youth Projects, Rotary Foundation, World Community Service and Youth Exchange.

These four avenues of service are accomplished through the following committees:  Membership, Service Projects, The Rotary Foundation, Public Relations and Club Administration. To view the committee structure, click here.
