Jennifer Smith is president of her senior class at Norman High. She is a section leader in band, an officer of the French Club and writer for the student newspaper. For the past five summers, she participated with her church youth group on missions, where she learned the leadership skills and volunteer ethic she hopes will help her reach her goal of joining the Peace Corps when she graduates. 

Shannon Hooper is vice president of the French Club and a member of the Young Democrats and Key Club at Norman North. Her father, Randy Hooper, is a member of Norman Rotary. Through her work with Oklahoma Children’s Cancer Association, she has learned raising money is one aspect of volunteerism but taking the time to bring a smile to someone can also have a significant impact.
